View Dogs Available for Adoption

Max Rescue DogThe plight of homeless dogs is a true passion of mine, and I feel that education in the community is the best way to make a difference. There are countless volunteers and non-profit organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area doing amazing things every day for animals and we want to show our support for their dedication to making a difference.

I truly believe that dogs are angels in disguise, sent here to love us and be our truest friends and teachers. However, in this tough economic climate, many are being left behind to fend for themselves. Family pets are being turned in to shelters in record numbers as families lose their jobs and their homes. That’s where rescue groups step in.

Unfortunately rescue groups simply can’t keep up with the sheer volume of dogs (and cats) on the euthanasia lists at area shelters each week, so perfectly healthy, socialized, adoptable dogs are being put to death at a staggering rate.

We must all stand up and speak up for the abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs who have no voice of their own to help themselves out of their predicament.

There are countless ways to get involved.

  • Volunteer at your local shelter by visiting, walking, or photographing the dogs
  • Becoming a foster parent for a pet in need of a safe place to hold over while waiting to be adopted
  • Educating everyone of the importance of spay and neuter
  • Joining a shelter email list that emails the pets on the euthanasia list each week
  • Emailing the list of pets to your family, friends, and coworkers
  • Helping with the transport of a dog to his/her new adoptive or foster home
  • Sending your tax-deductible donations to non-profit rescue groups - those on the front lines every day rescuing dogs from local shelters before they are euthanized
Rescue dogs like brothers

If you’d like to become involved in any aspect of rescue, please contact our friend Barb through liz@rosieandfriends.net, and she will provide you with any kind of info you’re interested in or direct you to any breed-specific rescue group if you’re thinking of adding a particular breed of dog to your family.

Remember, there’s never any long-term commitment when it comes to volunteering, but adoption is forever!

Our adoptions page features up to twelve different dogs from area rescue groups which will rotate as they get adopted out.

Rosie & Friends is not involved in the adoption process in any way. We are simply providing a venue to feature these wonderful dogs deserving of a loving forever home. Any rescue group featured on this site is a 501c3 (non-profit) organization meaning that 100% of your donation goes directly to the care of the dogs (spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, medical expenses, heartworm preventative or treatment). These groups have a long history of rescue in our community and are always in need of loving foster homes, volunteers at adoption events, or financial support to continue their work.

Rosie & Friends would like to thank you for being a part of the solution!
